part 2

I think I have improved a lot! I already was doing pretty well with eye contact but I am better at that. The thing I have improven the most at is talking more smoothly and talking like I didn't memorize the speech, like it just comes naturally which is how it should. I also don't think I look like I am thinking about it to much. Like I said it just comes naturally which is good. The thing I would like to improve on my next speech is to maybe talk a little slower and have a little more personality with what I am saying. It comes to me I just need more personality now. I plan to do that by already practicing with the little sarcastic sounds, and giggles already in my speech. If I practice with it like that then I'll know when things need to be funny and when things need to be serious. I want to make people interested in my speech, not be monotone and bore everyone.

Part 1

I learned my speech by learning one sentence at a time. It takes me a little while to remember it but when I learn it by just one sentence at a time, or a few at a time, it seems to stick in my head better. Once I learn a whole paragraph I repeat all of the speech that I know so I never forget any of it, I just slowly add on to what I know. I practice by learning the whole things paragraph by paragraph and then recite it over and over again. Wherever I am I just keep saying it until I have given my speech. I will make my mom listen to it a few times so I know I am not skipping any sentences and make sure I know it very well. Some succesful tips is just to practice, practice, practice! You need to be comfortable enought to say it to anyone without having trouble remembering what comes next. If you practice enough it will just come naturally.
